Allocation

Research Computing resources are an investment from the University to help researchers complete computationally and data intensive research at Duke. Eligible researchers receive annual no-cost access to computing and data storage resources sufficient to complete most research. The resources available are designed to allow researchers to process data sets too large for an average computer, access research files from anywhere, store data long term to meet retention requirements, and host and analyze restricted or sensitive research data on a secure server.

For a full listing of resources visit the OIT Research Computing page.

Access

Duke researches are granted access to the DCC by the point of contact for their group or lab, if you need help finding your point of contact, check the list of current DCC groups.

Group point of contacts manage DCC membership through our self service portal: rtoolkits.web.duke.edu. If you are a faculty researcher and are interested in setting up a new group, either to purchase equipment for the cluster, or to try out the cluster using common and scavenger access, contact us.

Any user with a Duke netid can be added to the DCC.
